Brief Bio
Basudeb Dasgupta is a theoretical physicist at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. He works in the field of astroparticle physics, and specializes in the study of neutrinos and dark matter. After obtaining his PhD from TIFR in 2009, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Physics, at The Ohio State University, and at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics before returning to TIFR. In recognition of his work, he was awarded the ICTP Prize for 2019 and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for 2022.
